A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE

Originally part of the long-established Jones and Sandford group of companies, Jones and Sandford Joinery Ltd has developed as a  new, separate entity, dedicated solely to the manufacture and installation of joinery and construction components.

Though based in New Plymouth, Jones and Sandford Joinery Ltd’s main client base is in Auckland and Wellington, so we have permanent installation teams and supervisors in both these cities.

We have completed a diverse range of major joinery projects all over the North Island, including hospitals, hotels, courthouses, police stations, prisons, restaurants, banks, retail outlets, schools and fire stations.

Our emphasis is on delivering the best joinery service possible. We back up the strong skill base of our team with robust systems to ensure quality remains high. We believe the three essential elements for successful project completion are:

Delivery in Full, On Time, In Specification
(abbreviated to DIFOTIS)

We maintain our high standard through:

  • Weekly performance reviews, assessing the DIFOTIS status of all projects and appropriate actions to be taken to stay on target.
  • Weekly production planning meetings, in which the key players in New Plymouth hold a phone conference with the Auckland and Wellington teams, looking at each job in progress or coming up in the near future.
  • Taking full ownership of a project from the moment we take it on until completion and handover.
  • Commitment to training – we currently have four apprentices in our joinery factory.
