Qualified Joiners/Cabinet Makers

Full Time Permanent

We invite experienced & Qualified Joiners to join our busy Joinery manufacturing business.

We manufacture and install commercial joinery to construction and fitout projects throughout the North Island.

 

Everyday brings new projects and a variety of challenges. We have a very positive team of 36 tradesmen and management including representatives in Auckland and Wellington. Our factory is a modern facility led by management and owners committed to developing its people. Investment in technology has resulted in this company recently completing many of NZ’s most challenging projects.

 

The successful applicants must have:

  • High standard of joinery skills
  • High standard of work ethics
  • Be able to work to set deadlines
  • Available to work overtime when required
  • Experience is very important as we want your experience to compliment our team.

Auckland Supervisor

3 Month Contract

Jones and Sandford Joinery Ltd manufactures and installs joinery fittings to commercial construction and fitout projects in the Auckland area.

We have an Auckland manager who works from a home office

The Akld supervisor would report to the Auckland manager

The position is about supporting the Akld manager by taking over deliveries .

Key tasks :

  • Check required delivery dates to the sites
  • Visit sites to check they are ready for joinery
  • Check access
  • With builder project manager arrange cranes if required
  • Arrange labour hire thru local hire agency ( AWF )
  • Meet truck on site
  • Manage and assist with lifting and carrying in items as required
  • Check all items delivered and ready for installer teams
  • Assist installer teams to install joinery as required
  • When not doing 1 – 9 , assist Akld manager with site measuring etc.

If the individual proves suitable , we would give them training to develop into a project manager to manage all areas of the joinery trade from ;

  • Client liason
  • Agreeing programme dates
  • Site measuring
  • Health and Safety management
